Good automorphic crystals of black wolframite (wolfram) on white quartz, associated with a little violet fluorite.
Antique specimen (with label), mineral from the old Montbelleux mine in Brittany.
The Montbelleux mine is a former wolframite mine, exploited for tungsten, where other minerals, such as topaz, have been found. It is located near Luitré, in Ille-et-Vilaine, France. Mining began in 1905 and ceased in 1983. The mine reaches a maximum depth of 130 m.
